忽然，車廂裡大亮了起來。 仔細一看，像是聚集了像是金剛石、草上的露水及世界上其他所有美麗的事物都聚集在燦爛的銀河河床上，水流靜悄無息的流過，而水流的中央，一座島嶼正綻放出朦朧青白色背光。 島上平坦的頂端上豎立著一座亮麗令人無法直視的莊嚴白色十字架，就像是以結冰了的北極之雲鑄成的吧，總之它頂上的金色光環，安靜而永久地站著。 宮澤賢治『銀河鐵道之夜』 Suddenly, the inside of the train was filled with white light. They looked out to the Milky Way river. Through the transparent water flowing silently, the river-bed looked so gorgeous as to be filled with diamond, dew on a leaf and everything magnificent and beautiful. In the middle of the river, was an island with a round arch of dimly pale halo above it. On the level top of the island, did stand a brilliant and amazing white Cross, quietly and eternally, surrounded by the golden aureole as majestic as if it had been cast from a frozen cloud in the Arctic.
